After Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits had a change of ownership the founder, master brewer, and others split from the company to start up a new distillery called Cutwater.
This whiskey exhibits the same attributes as its predecessor by distilling in small batches and aging in heavily charred American oak barrels.
Nose: Rich in woody caramel and vanilla notes.
Palate: Distinctly sweet whiskey, rich in woody caramel and vanilla notes backed by hints of cinnamon, cardamom, and licorice.
Finish: Lingering warm spice and grasses.
