Taste
E.H. Taylor Straight Rye Bourbon is one of many versions crafted by E.H. Taylor and still produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. This bourbon was crafted from Mash Bill #1, like other great blends such as Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, and George T. Stagg. It has a lower content of rye, than mash bill #2. This bourbon is smooth and luxurious with prominent notes of rye and malted barely on the palate mingled with bright hints of sweet dried fruit. The finish is strong with bold flavors of black pepper, a touch of fresh dill, and subtle caramel overtones, with an oaky finish. Â

E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof Bourbon is one of many versions crafted by E.H. Taylor and still produced at the award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. This smooth and luscious bourbon was crafted from Mash Bill #1, like other great spirits such as Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, and George T. Stagg. It is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley, which has a lower content of rye, than mash bill #2. It is smooth and silky with sweet notes of caramelized berries, mingled with rich caramel and a slightly floral aroma. The taste on the palate is bold and full of spice with slight hints of layered vanilla, dried oak, and pepper. The finish is warm with hints of fruit and rye.

E.H. Taylor Single Barrel Bourbon is one of many versions crafted by E.H. Taylor and still produced at the award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. This single-barrel bourbon was crafted from Mash Bill #1, like other great blends such as Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, and George T. Stagg. It is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley, which has a lower content of rye, than mash bill #2. This bourbon is rich with notes of lightly toasted oak, and prominent notes of dried figs. On the palate, you'll find sweet hints of butterscotch. The finish is warm with slight hints of tobacco and dark spices.

E.H. Taylor Small Batch Bourbon is one of many versions crafted by E.H. Taylor and still produced at the award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. This small batch of bourbon was crafted from Mash Bill #1, like other great blends such as Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, and George T. Stagg. It is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley, which has a lower content of rye, than mash bill #2. This bourbon is sweet and rich with notes of rich caramel corn, mingled with sweet hints of butterscotch, and undertones of licorice. The finish is soft and warm with subtle hints of pepper and tobacco.

History
E.H. Taylor Straight Rye Bourbon , Barrel Proof, Single Barrel & Small Batch Bundle is crafted by a true innovator whose vision was ahead of his time. In 1869, E.H. Taylor acquired a small distillery located in Frankfurt Kentucky on the edge of the Kentucky River. It was originally named The Old Fire Copper Distillery. There he began renovating and modernizing the plant by purchasing copper fermentation tanks, new grain grinding equipment, and unique, columnar stills. During his time there, Taylor implemented several innovative distilling techniques, including aging whiskey in climate-controlled Rick houses. Other distilleries weren't aging their bourbon, they were adding juices and syrups to sweeten their bourbon, while others added acid and tobacco. Instead, E.H. Taylor used his distilling experience and political pedigree, to partner with Treasury Secretary John G. Carlisle. Together they were instrumental in changing history. In 1897 they passed the Bottled-In-Bond Act. This meant that any spirit labeled as "Bonded" or "Bottled-in-Bond" must be the product of only one distiller, one distillery, during one distillation season. Additionally, the Act required that bonded spirits were supervised by the U.S. government for at least four years and to be bottled at least 100 proof, in federally bonded warehouses. This fine bourbon is crafted from hand-selected barrels and is bottled directly from the barrel at more than 125 proof. It represents the way bourbon was produced in the days before Prohibition when Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was the owner of Buffalo Trace Distillery.
