Uncle Nearest is a brand of Tennessee whiskey named after a formerly enslaved man, Nathaniel Nearest Green, who taught a young Jack Daniel the craft of distilling. The 1856 Premium Aged Whiskey is soft enough to sip neat or robust enough to carry through any whiskey-based cocktail. The 1884 Small Batch Whiskey is drawn from barrels handpicked by the CEO and honors the memory of Nearest; each label from this batch is signed by the relative who curates the batch.
