This single malt was initially aged in Bourbon casks, before being disgorged and placed in Californian red wine casks for a finishing period in March 2016 and January 2017. The bottling is a blend of two vattings, ensuring good balance and consistency of flavor.
This whisky offers up notes of dried fruits, coffee, cherry, old oak, leather, red wine, plums, dates, orange rind, licorice, spice, malt, biscuit, and pepper.
The whisky was bottled at 46.7% ABV and without chill filtration, producing a full-bodied dram.
