A superb Kentucky straight bourbon from Evan Williams, produced in small batches. The 1783 expression is named after the year that Evan Williams set up his distillery on the banks of the Ohio River.
Nose: Brown sugar and maple syrup, backed up by hints of dried apricot and raisin.
Palate: Continued syrupy sweetness as it opens up, with cinnamon and black pepper warmth building.
Finish: Light hints of corn and malt stick around.
