Description
Using an historical, low-yielding, variety of barley called Bere, the second release of Springbank's Local Barley series is produced from a couple dozen ex-bourbon casks that were aged 10 years before bottling. Aromas of orange marmalade, sea salt, malt and caramel set this dram off just right! Rich and oily with hints of sweetness on the palate are balanced by almond, citrus, anise and a touch of that signature Campbeltown peat. The long, indulgent finish provides the right coda to this song.
