Description
On the palate, there’s some youth clearly evident in the mix, with telltale peanut and popcorn elements initially dominating. This veers toward a creamier peanut butter character as the palate evolves, with green herbs and fresh cut grass becoming stronger. As the finish approaches things get more boldly herbal, with notes of thyme and sage, a nod perhaps to the rye influence. Floral and a bit doughy on the fade-out, there’s a pleasant and lingering note of vanilla and just a bit of baking spice to close things out.
It’s a fun little whiskey but nothing wildly unexpected. Worth the price.
